Recipe adapted from my friend Rebekah's bread recipe |
There is nothing better than a slice of homemade bread. And, until recently, bread making has always been a daunting task for me. But, this bread is so easy and only takes a total of 1.5 hours to make from start to finish. Make it, I dare you!
Recipe:
21/3 C whole wheat pastry flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp yeast
2 tsp molasses
1 C lukewarm water
- Proof your yeast (go HERE to learn about proofing yeast)
- While your yeast is chewing on the molasses, mix together your flour and salt.
- Pour the proofed yeast into the flour mixture.
- Mix until the dough becomes slightly elastic and leaves the sides of the bowl
- Place in a lightly greased loaf pan and let double in size
- Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes
Enjoy!
